Machu Picchu tickets for Peruvians and the Andean Community in 2026

Machu Picchu has two price lists: one for foreign visitors and a reduced one for Peruvians, residents of Peru and citizens of the Andean Community. The difference is large, and it is checked at the gate. This is who qualifies, what each fare costs and what to carry.

Who qualifies for the reduced fare

  • Peruvians: Any Peruvian citizen, wherever they live, with their DNI or Peruvian passport.
  • Foreigners resident in Peru: Foreigners who live in Peru, with their carné de extranjería. A tourist visa or an entry stamp does not count as residence.
  • Citizens of the Andean Community: Citizens of Bolivia, Colombia and Ecuador — the other members of the Andean Community — with the passport or national ID of their country.

What it costs

The Ministry of Culture sets the face value of the reduced fare at S/64 for the general ticket and S/32 for students in higher education and for minors aged 3 to 17. Children under 3 enter free and are registered at $0.

Booking with us, the reduced fare on the standard routes — 2A, 2B, 1B, 1C, 1D, 3B Royalty and 3D — is $35 for an adult and $25 for a student aged 18 to 24 or a child aged 3 to 17. Machu Picchu Mountain (1A) is $57 for an adult and $35 for a student or child. Our price includes the issuing, the QR by email and support on WhatsApp; at checkout we add a 5% service fee, shown before you pay.

From May 2026, an additional charge for entering the protected natural area was announced on top of the ticket: S/5 for nationals and S/11 for foreigners. It is a separate charge from the Ministry's entrance and is not part of our price.

How to book the reduced fare

On the ticket page, choose "Peru & Andean Community" for each traveler who qualifies and enter their document number exactly as it appears: DNI, carné de extranjería or passport. A group can mix both price lists — a Peruvian traveling with a foreign partner books one reduced and one foreign fare in the same booking.

The fare is checked at the gate against the document. Carry the same document you used at checkout. A traveler booked on the reduced fare without a document that proves it is the case the entrance does not let through.

Is Chile or Venezuela part of the Andean Community fare?

No. The members of the Andean Community are Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Citizens of other countries pay the foreign fare unless they are residents of Peru.

I am Peruvian but live abroad. Do I still get the reduced fare?

Yes. The reduced fare depends on your nationality, not on where you live. Bring your DNI or Peruvian passport.

Can a foreign tourist use a Peruvian friend's reduced fare?

No. Each ticket is issued in the visitor's name and the fare is checked against that visitor's document.

Both price lists, one calendar
