- Entrance, Circuit 2A: $65.10: Card fee included. Child 3–17: $40.95. Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu Mountain: $81.90. Every route in the ticket prices guide.
- Car, Cusco hotel to Ollantaytambo station: $55: Private, about 2 hours, and $55 again for the way back. The station transfer.
- Train out: about $85: The Voyager at 06:40 from Ollantaytambo, arriving 08:01: $75 public fare, $85 added to your ticket with us.

- Guide: $40: Optional since September 2026, private and in English, added at checkout. Do you need a guide?
- Train back: about $97: The Voyager at 14:30 to Ollantaytambo: $87 public fare, $97 with us. The 19:00 was $76 ($86 with us), at the cost of arriving in Cusco later.
The 2-Day Tour: the same trip in one price
The 2-Day Tour costs $397 for one traveler, $386 per person for two, $383 for three, $381 for four and $380 from five. It includes the Circuit 2 entrance (2A or 2B), the train, the buses, a guide, our staff at the in-person registration in Aguas Calientes and the transport from your Cusco hotel. You book your own hotel for the night in Aguas Calientes. Adding Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain costs $78 and one more night.
Against the $431 of the day booked piece by piece, it is the lower price for the same pieces. It is also the way in when the online tickets for your date are gone: it uses the daily quota the Ministry sells only in person. What it does not let you choose is the entry time, which the Ministry assigns.
The train: the line that changes the total
For 15 January 2027, The Voyager from Ollantaytambo cost $67 to $76 one way depending on the departure, and $75 to $87 from Cusco with the bus included. Back, $66 to $87 to Ollantaytambo and $75 to $98 to Cusco. The 360° and The Prime add a panoramic car or a dining car at a higher fare, The First Class serves a three-course meal at $318 to $356, and the Hiram Bingham is the luxury train. Fares, classes and timetables are in the train guide; in Mi Tour you pick the exact departure with the fare of the day.
How to spend less
- Walk up instead of the bus: The stone staircase from Aguas Calientes takes 1.5 to 2 hours and about 500 m of climbing, and costs nothing.
- Skip the guide: It is no longer mandatory. On a first visit it is worth it: the site has almost no signs.
- Discounted entrances: Students and children pay less; so do Peruvians and the Andean Community.
- The Hidroeléctrica road: Six hours by road from Cusco and 10 km on foot along the tracks: $60 round trip with us, $50 to $80 in shared vans. It saves the train and costs time: a full day each way. Hour by hour in the Hidroeléctrica route.
What is not in these numbers
Flights from Lima to Cusco run from about $40 one way on the low-cost carriers to $100 and more close to the date or in June to August (Lima to Machu Picchu). Hotels in Cusco and Aguas Calientes, meals and tips depend on your choices, and we do not sell them, so we give no number for them.
